Be inspired to believe, achieve and succeed together

English

In Year 1 we focus on being able to write a sentence independently using capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. This week we will recap on these three things but focusing on when to use capital letters.

Capital letters are used at the beginning of a sentence, a person's name, name of a place, day of the week, month of the year and personal pronoun 'I'.

Challenge: Some sentences might need a question mark. Can you remember when we need to use a question mark?

In all of the suggested activities it is up to you the number of sentences you complete, whether that is one, two or maybe you would like to try some of the longer sentences...it is up to you! I have just provided you with options, so please only do what you can smiley

For Wednesday's activity, you might want to name the people at the party or write about a birthday party that you have been to (remember to use capital letters in the correct place!)
