To start the week we will be recapping when to use a capital letter and full stop.

Wednesday 6th January 2021

Today we will be reading the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'. 

We will be discussing the different settings and who the main character is.

What is a setting?

Who is the main character?

Through discussion we will also look at:

What happened at the end of the story and what might happen if the bear entered the house?

Do you think this is a friendly or scary bear? Why?

Why do you think the bear followed them back to the house?

Now, I want you to pretend that the bear entered the house. What happens next?

Write a short sentence explaining what he got up to.

REMEMBER.....use a capital letter, finger space and full stop.

Thursday 7th January  2021

Today we are going to create actions to match the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' so that we become more familiar and remember the sequence (this will help in the coming days).

Watch the YouTube video first and then try and create your own actions to retell the story to some one at home. 

Friday 8th January 2021

Today we will be discussing what we would take in a back pack if we were going on a 'bear hunt' or indeed any hunt. We will be using adjectives to describe these items. Follow the slides in the PowerPoint and complete the worksheet below.
