Practising Equivalent Fractions
Before we more on with our learning, I want to make sure everyone is confident with finding equivalent fractions. Remember, fractions are equivalent (have the same value) if both the numerator and denominator have been multiplied or divided by the same amount.
There is no video to watch today as we are practising the same skill as in previous lessons. Use the following activities to practice finding equivalent fractions.
Task 1
Cut out the cards and sort them into groups that are equivalent.
Task 2
Play this online game. To be successful, you must find and group equivalent fractions.
Task 3 (Challenge)
Complete these problem solving and reasoning tasks.
