The greatest number that rounds to 40,000 when rounded to the nearest 10,000 is 44,000

Thursday- Numbers to a million

Challenge: True or False?

578,620 has a comma in-between the 8 and the 6 because it separates the thousands from the hundreds.

Friday - Counting in 10s 100s 1000s 10000s and 100000s

Challenge: True or False?

If you count up in hundreds from 1,423 you will eventually reach 2,800

** For a bit of extra practise I've set you a 2do on Purple Mash called: Comparing up to 100,000. Use you place value knowledge to compete against the computer to try and win the race!
