Phonics

This week we will be learning some special sounds. They are called digraphs.

A digraph is when 2 letters make one sound.

Today's digraph is 'ff'

The /ff/ spelling pattern - Mr Thorne Does Phonics

Watch UK school teacher Mr Thorne and Youtube sensation Geraldine the Giraffe take you on a learning journey through the world of phonics, grammar, spelling ...

Using our new sound 'ff' have a go at writing these words:    huff   puff   cuff

These words are a little more challenging:  cliff    stuff   sniff

Have a go at adding the sound buttons to the words like we did on our zoom session. Remember 'ff' makes one sound so will only need one sound button.
