Our Solar System
This half term we will be learning all about SPACE! This is one of my favourite topics as there is so much to learn and discover! Over the next 2 days I am going to ask you to use the internet to research the 8 planets in our Solar System.
For today, I would like you to find out about the 4 planets that are closest to the Sun:
Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
These are some of the question you could try and answer:
What size is the planet?
How far away from the sun is it?
What is it made from?
How long does it take for it to orbit the Sun?
You can choose to present your work as either a PowerPoint Presentation or as a poster - Remember you will add to your work tomorrow when you research the other 4 planets.
I have added a useful Youtube video below, to get you started, but I'm sure there's lots of other videos and information out there too! Can't wait to see what you find out. Have fun!
