Our Design and Technology Project this half would have been to make a model Mars Rover using our woodwork and joining skills. Unfortunately, we have not been able to do that, but you can still have a go at creating a Mars Rover, using items that you can find around your use.
1) Use the information in the book to help you draw and sketch a design for your rover first. Add labels to show what materials you will use for each part of your model. Be creative with what you have available!
2) Once you have finished your design, get building! There are some ideas below to give you some inspiration...Daulton has already created a brilliant Lego version in school which worked really well!
Challenge:
When your model is complete, write a short explanation paragraph about your model. What are the key parts of the rover? What do they do?
You might not get all of this finished today. Make it a project that you can work on throughout the week. Can't wait to see them!
