Spring 2

On this page, you will find our knowledge organisers for certain subjects and an overview of what we are learning about this half term.

 

English

We will be using the story of 'Paddington' by Michael Bond to write a recount on his journey to London from Darkest Peru.

 

We will be using the story 'The Hospital Dog' by Julia Donaldson to write a for and against argument on whether dogs should be allowed to help people. 

 

Maths

We will be learning how to measure in centimetres and metres. 

We will also be learning about mass, temperature and volume.

 

Phonics

We will be learning a range of the following letter sound correspondences and spelling rules:

/ur/ as ur, er, ir, ear, or, ou

We will be covering Dance and Striking and Fieliding.

 

RE

We will be learning about what 'believing' means to Jewish people. We will also be learning about the importance of Easter.

 

Art

We will be looking at African artwork and creating our own clay pots using African tribal prints. 

 

PSHE

We will be learning about health and wellbeing.
