This covers Roman numerals to 1,000; place value and reading and writing of numbers from 10,000 - 1 million; powers of 10; partitioning numbers, more or less; comparing and ordering numbers; use of number lines and rounding numbers. Development of a range of strategies for all four operations. Comparing and ordering fractions, equivalent fractions, and addition and subtraction of fractions.
ENGLISH
Class book - Who Let the Gods Out?
Our English will be based around this book and is linked to our topic of the Ancient Greeks and Black History Month. Children will be carrying out research and writing autobiographies, planning, writing and editing stories, non-chronological reports, debates, discussions and persuasive writing, reading, planning and writing Greek myths.
