Hello and welcome back to the new school year! We already have lots of activities planned for the school year, so make sure you check out the Upcoming Events, Calendar and Latest News sections below.
For all our new starters (or anyone else!) here is a little bit of information about what we do. Friends of Trowell School (or FOTS as you might also know us) are a group of parents, grandparents and carers that are raising funds to support Trowell CofE Primary School. Last year we purchased a fantastic outdoor clamber stack for the school playground (read all about it below). In the past we have also used money that we have raised to buy books, musical instruments, support the Year 6 leavers party and selection boxes for all the children at Christmas time. We are always looking for new ways to raise money, get the school community involved and hopefully have some fun while doing it!
Regular events include:
We also serve all the refreshments and cakes at assemblies, school plays and sports day
Tuesday 8th October - FOTS AGM
Friday 29th November - Trowell School Community Christmas Fair

The new school year has only just begun but we have already spent some of your well spent cash on items for our children. We have just bought each class a digital camera for the children to use to take photos and record what they have been getting up to at school. I think the results of that will be fun to see!
We are also in the process of purchasing a defilbrilater to keep on school property. A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest. Hopefully we will never have to use it but will be a welcome addition to making Trowell School a safe and friendly place to be.
Date - Tuesday 8th October
Time - 7 - 8 pm
Location - School Hall, Trowell C of E Primary School
