Sports Premium

Background

In April 2013, the government announced new funding of £150 million for physical education and sport, to be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision. Funding has been allocated to all maintained and state-funded schools with primary phase pupils from 1st September 2013.

Schools are free to determine how best to use this funding to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision, including increasing participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach performance levels they are capable of.

As a result of all of the work done over the past year the school has been granted the Schools Sports Bronze Quality Mark. This has raised the profile of PE within school and is a welcome reward for all of the hard work which has been put in to improve the standards of PE within school.

Set out below is a proposed action plan for the 2021-22 allocation of monies for Trowell C of E Primary School.
