Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.
Each year the children vote for 2 members of the class to represent them for the year.
This term we have discussed and planned Children in Need day; thought about ways of raising money later in the year and have thought about how we can help others by recycling our textbooks by supporting Books for Africa. We will continue this discussion next term.
In December, the school councillors visited the Houses of Parliament (see photos below) and had a guided tour followed by a workshop where they discussed a ban on smoking. They also met our local PM, Darren Henry, who came to talk to them and ask them about their ideas.
We also managed to see Buckingham Palace after travelling on the train to St Pancras and travelling on the underground. We had a great day out.
